Humayun welcomes Iran’s reopening of Strait of Hormuz

ISLAMABAD: Secretary General of Pakistan Peoples Party, Muhammad Humayun Khan Friday welcomed Iran’s announcement regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, calling it a positive development for regional peace and global trade.
In a statement, Humayun Khan said the restoration of maritime commerce in the context of the ceasefire was an encouraging step that would help ease tensions in the region.
He said that the reopening of the vital waterway would contribute to stability in global energy supplies and support international markets.
He said countries of the region, including Pakistan, would benefit from the decision, as improved energy flows could provide economic relief and strengthen financial stability.
The PPP leader emphasized that reducing tensions in the region was essential for both regional and global economic progress.
He said that improvements in the energy sector would positively impact economic growth and development.
Humayun Khan reiterated that diplomacy and dialogue remained the only sustainable solutions to conflicts and urged the international community to play its role in ensuring lasting peace.
He said a reduction in hostilities could pave the way for regional and global stability, adding that the Pakistan Peoples Party would continue to support peace, stability and constructive dialogue.
