Karachi: Imad Wasim, the captain of Karachi Kings, highly praised franchise’s head coach Dean Jones and said he brings a lot of aggression in the players.
“To be honest, I have worked with so many coaches but Jones is a man with a different approach. We worked with Mickey Arthur who also did a great job for Kings but Jones has something unique to offer and I think that is ‘aggression’. He brings in a lot of positivity and game awareness and I am sure every single player has the same opinion for him,” Wasim told reporters after his team beat Islamabad United by four wickets and qualify for the semi-final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5.
Wasim describes his team’s overall performances so far in the tournament and meanwhile also highlighted that they need to mend their mistakes to come up strongly. “I believe still things need to get better. There are no weak links in the team so far and the whole team has played exceptionally well,” he said. “We are aiming to win our next and last round match against Quetta Gladiators to continue the winning momentum before entering the knock-out stage,” he added. Upon being asked, Wasim said that entire Kings’ family missed the crowd at National Stadium. “It was a tough decision to exclude crowd from the tournament but I think it was for the betterment of everyone. We missed our people at the stadium but we will try to not disappoint them and win the title for our fans,” he concluded. – Agencies
