‘I won’t perform at opening ceremony’

Bureau Report

Karachi: Renowned Pakistani singer and artist Ali Zafar has confirmed that he won’t be performing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six opening ceremony.
The 40-year-old Ali took to Twitter and denied the reports regarding his performance in pre-recorded PSL 6’s virtual music show.
Ali sang the first three anthems of the PSL solely. He released his own anthem ‘Mela Loot Liya’ last year after a heavy demand by the fans as they were disappointed by the official PSL anthem ‘Tayyar Hain’.
On the other hand, PSL’s virtual show shooting is underway in Istanbul, Turkey. PSL 6 anthem’s artists including Aima Baig, Naseebo Lal, and Young Stunners have already arrived in Turkey for the shoot.
Reportedly, rockstar Atif Aslam has also recorded his performance for the cricket extravaganza.
Note, Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and bio-secure bubble created for players and officials, there will be no opening ceremony at the National Stadium, Karachi.
