PESHAWAR: The Institute of Architects Pakistan- Peshawar Chapter (IAP-PC) to hold Architects Convention and the Building Material and Products Exhibition “IAPEX-PC-2021” on the Theme of “Urban Regeneration” on 14th, 15th & 16th January 2021 at Marbella Cave Peshawar.
The annual Building Material & Product Exhibition “IAPEX” a well-established, one of a kind exhibition, held yearly for the building industry to showcase their material and products. IAPEX-PC-2021 will once again showcase traditional and contemporary building materials and finishes, hardware, building, home, décor, furniture, fixtures and fittings, garden tools and implements and many other building and home related products manufactured in Pakistan and as well as the Asian region.
This year’s event is expected to be mega event due to active participation of Government of KP with the collaboration of various Government Departments and different Provincial Ministers, a large no of participants and visitors are expected to attend the event (because of targeted publicity approach). Member architects and Associates from the four chapters of IAP, Engineers, allied professional from the building industry, architecture students from the various institutions from all over Pakistan and the interested public at large, will ensure a well-attended event.
Moreover, Urban regeneration is the attempt to reverse that decline by both improving the physical structure, and, more importantly and elusively, the economy of those areas. In all regeneration programmes, public money is used as an attempt to pump prime private investment into an area. Critically, the purpose of regeneration is to deliver a long-lasting solution in the form of sustainable new communities. This often means looking at the needs and challenges of a location and its economy, and consulting with all stakeholders involved to establish current and potential issues. The end result should be a project that delivers on an economic level but is also tailored to serving the local community.
In all the previous editions of this annual mega event, we have put in relentless efforts so as to make every edition more successful than the previous one. Keeping in view the hard work put in by our management committee, I am absolutely confident that IAPEX 2020 will break all previous records in terms of participation of architects from all across Pakistan as well as from other countries. The conference being held alongside the IAPEX 2020, besides our industrious Pakistani architects, will also feature renowned foreign architects enjoying international repute. This would be a great opportunity to practicing as well as the aspiring architects to imbue in the sea of knowledge that will be presented at the conference.
