ISLAMABAD: As the annual Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Kazmi, known as Bari Imam, approaches, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration gears up to ensure a smooth event for the followers.
For this purpose, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, visited the shrine of Imam Bari Sarkar to oversee the preparations for the upcoming Urs, said the spokesman of ICT Administration.
Accompanied by the Assistant Commissioner and senior officials from the Capital Development Authority (CDA), including the Director General of Building Control, Director of Sanitation, and officials from the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA), DC Memon conducted a thorough review of the arrangements.
The Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) from the city police was also present during the visit. The team assessed the security measures and facilities at various parts of the shrine, including parking, lighting, sanitation, and water supply.
DC Islamabad was briefed on the security and administrative plans to ensure a safe and well-organized event.
The Urs is scheduled to take place on August 15, 16, and 17.
DC Memon confirmed that all necessary security and administrative arrangements were in place. He assured that all facilities would be provided to the followers attending the Urs.
