ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited various departments of the Central Police Office and the Police Khidmat Markaz H-11.
On the occasion AIG Investigation Muhammad Arsalan Shahzaib and other senior officers were also present.
During the visit, the IGP Islamabad reviewed the facilities provided to citizens, the security and surveillance systems, communication monitoring mechanisms and other administrative affairs.
He also inspected the 24/7 monitoring system established in the modern operations room at the CPO.
On this occasion, he directed the officers to ensure the timely provision of assistance and services to the public, maintain an effective communication system and ensure strong coordination with other institutions.
He also inspected the electronic and social media monitoring system at the Public Relations Branch and instructed officers to remain in constant communication with citizens via social media, ensure prompt redressal of complaints and provide timely traffic and other relevant information.
At the H-11 Khidmat Markaz, the IGP Islamabad met with citizens, listened to their suggestions and directed the staff to further improve guidance and facilitation services for the public.
He reviewed the various services provided at the center and emphasized innovation and improvement in service delivery.
As part of the ‘Open Door Policy’ the IGP also held an open court where he heard the issues of both citizens and police officers.
He issued immediate instructions to the concerned officers to resolve all matters transparently, justly and promptly.
He stressed that the immediate, effective and merit-based resolution of public issues is a top priority.
He urged all officers to promote citizen-friendly policing, maintain a vigilant eye on the law and order situation across the city and further strengthen the role of police as a public service-oriented institution.
