IGP chairs commanders conference

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police to enhance digital surveillance, patrolling, and training, says IGP Islamabad during the commanders conference.
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held a commanders conference at Safe City Islamabad. All DIGs, AIGs, SSPs, SPs, and other senior officers of Islamabad Police attended the conference.

On this occasion, IGP Islamabad issued instructions to all officers, stating that all available resources must be utilized for maintaining law and order in the federal capital.
He directed that digital surveillance through Safe City Islamabad should be further enhanced for monitoring suspicious elements, and all entry and exit points of the city must be monitored using this system.
He further stated that the capacity building of the Capital Elite Force should be strengthened by ensuring its training meets modern-day requirements so that the force can play a key role in effectively responding to any emergency situation.
He instructed that new training courses be conducted to enhance the professional capabilities of Islamabad Police officers so they can perform their duties more effectively.
He added that all resources should be utilized to maintain an efficient traffic management system in the federal capital and that citizens must be provided immediate alternative routes during any emergency to avoid inconvenience.
He emphasized that search operations in the jurisdictions of various police stations should continue to curb suspicious and criminal elements. He directed all officers to ensure the effective utilization of existing manpower to achieve better results.
He also ordered indiscriminate legal action against foreigners residing illegally in the federal capital so that law and order can be maintained and laws enforced equally.
He also directed all officers to set up special checkpoints in various areas of the city to curb criminal elements, and instructed that at the existing checkpoints, officers must treat citizens with courtesy, patience, and professionalism during inspections.
He said that the Dolphin squad and other units must ensure visible patrolling throughout the city, including commercial centers, parks, and residential areas, so that citizens feel secure and criminal elements are deterred.
He directed all officers to supervise security arrangements personally in the field and ensure complete coordination with their subordinate personnel.
He further stated that Safe City Islamabad’s modern software and other technical resources must be used effectively for monitoring suspicious and criminal elements.
He added that all officers must ensure optimal measures for the safety of citizens’ lives and property during law and order and security situations, while maintaining strong coordination with their respective teams. Protecting the lives and property of citizens is among our top priorities, he added.
