IGP chairs high-level meeting on police welfare, co-ordination

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, chaired an important meeting of senior officers of Islamabad Police and the National Police Foundation. The meeting held detailed discussions on joint welfare projects for police employees, modern IT initiatives, housing and educational facilities, health and welfare programs, and various aspects of mutual cooperation.
On this occasion, the IGP Islamabad emphasized the need to enhance the professional capabilities of the police force, the effective use of modern technology, and integrated and sustainable measures for the welfare of police personnel and their families.
The meeting expressed the resolve that all future welfare projects would be made more effective, transparent, and result-oriented in order to improve the overall performance of the police force.
Later, IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, also chaired a meeting with senior officers of Islamabad Police. The meeting was attended by DIG Headquarters Muhammad Atique Tahir, DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq, SSP Investigation Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt, AIG Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani, and SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali.
The meeting reviewed in detail the overall security situation, operational activities, investigation matters, training measures, and ongoing progress regarding the provision of improved policing services to the public. The officers briefed on the performance of their respective departments and the challenges being faced.
IGP Islamabad directed that coordination among all departments should be further improved so that crime prevention, timely response, and public service delivery can be enhanced. The meeting also agreed on setting effective strategies and priority objectives for the future.
