ISLAMABAD: Important meetings were held at the Central Police Office Islamabad under the chairmanship of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The meetings were attended by DIG Headquarter, AIG Development, AIG Legal, SSP SWAT Force, and other senior police officers.
IGP Islamabad received a detailed briefing from the DIG Headquarters on departmental administrative matters, welfare of police officers and personnel, service-related issues, and promotion matters.
On this occasion, he directed that the problems of officers and personnel should be resolved on a priority basis and merit must be ensured at all costs. He also emphasized taking effective measures to improve transparency, accountability, and performance within the police force.
IGP Islamabad also held meetings with the AIG General & Development and the Director Safe City, where development projects, investigative matters, improvement of the Safe City system, security measures, and overall policing were reviewed in detail.
He directed that the use of modern technology be promoted and that the Safe City project be made more active and result oriented to ensure effective monitoring across the city and timely prevention of crime. He further stressed aligning surveillance systems with modern requirements to enhance public safety.
Additionally, the IGP Islamabad met with the AIG Establishment and AIG Legal, where administrative and legal matters were reviewed in detail. Necessary instructions were issued regarding police welfare, service structure, and improving the professional performance of the force.
He stated that a strong and professional police force is essential for gaining public trust, and emphasized ensuring training, discipline, and adherence to the law at every level. Moreover, the IGP Islamabad held a meeting with SSP SWAT Force, where detailed discussions were held on enhancing professional training, improving operational capabilities, and effective use of modern technology within the police force.
He directed that the SWAT Force be developed along modern lines and that personnel be trained according to contemporary requirements to effectively respond to any emergency situation.
Later, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited various public places across the district. He reviewed police deployment, security arrangements, and safety measures. On this occasion, he instructed officers to perform their duties in a more effective, organized, and alert manner to ensure the protection of citizens lives and property.
He stated that maintaining law and order at public places is the foremost responsibility of the police, and no negligence in this regard will be tolerated. Furthermore, he emphasized courteous behavior with citizens, prompt response, and the promotion of community policing to strengthen trust between the police and the public.
