IGP chairs operational commanders’ conference

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a conference with operational commanders to discuss the security arrangements for upcoming important events at the federal capital. All divisional DIGs, SSPs, SPs, and other police officers participated.
During the conference, IGP Islamabad was briefed by the commanders on the security arrangements for upcoming key events in the federal capital. The conference focused on strategies for securing foreign delegation visits, PSL matches, parliamentary sessions and other important events.
On this occasion, IGP Islamabad emphasized that all events in the federal capital hold significant importance. He instructed all commanders to finalize security measures with full coordination and maintain close communication with law enforcement agencies. Police officers and personnel deployed for event security will be issued special cards for identification.
Furthermore, he highlighted the crucial role of Safe City Islamabad in monitoring these events and instructed all DIGs to conduct their own meetings in this regard.
IGP Islamabad also emphasized the need for a solid strategy to combat crime in the federal capital. A major crackdown will be initiated against drug trafficking hubs, suppliers and buyers. Steps will be taken to ensure the safe future of the younger generation.
