ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held a conference of Operational Commanders at Safe City Islamabad. The conference was attended by all DIGs, AIGs, SSPs, and other senior police officers.
During the conference, a comprehensive strategy was discussed to ensure maximum facilitation and protection for citizens during Ramadan. IGP Islamabad directed all officers to further strengthen security arrangements at masjids, imambargahs, commercial centers, Ramadan bazaars, and other important public places.
He issued specific instructions for special security measures at worship places during the second Ashra of Ramadan. He stated that foolproof security arrangements have been finalized by Islamabad Police for Ramadan.
Additional police personnel have been deployed during Sehri, Iftar, and Taraweeh timings. Strict checking is being ensured at all entry and exit points of the city. Security at important installations, markets, and commercial centers will be further tightened during Ramadan. Effective monitoring across the city will continue through Safe City cameras, while well-equipped police contingents will ensure effective patrolling.
IGP Islamabad also directed the implementation of a special traffic plan during Sehri and Iftar hours. Additional traffic personnel will be deployed on major highways and around worship places. Senior police officers have been instructed to remain present in the field to supervise security duties and ensure smooth traffic flow. Islamabad Police remains fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens.
IGP Islamabad emphasized that ensuring public safety and maintaining a peaceful environment is the foremost responsibility of the police, and all officers and personnel will utilize their professional capabilities to achieve this objective.
