IGP conducts visits to improve police service delivery

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, conducted visits to various police stations and zonal SP offices across Islamabad with the aim of improving service delivery, public facilities, and the overall interaction of police officers with citizens.
During the visit, he was accompanied by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq and other senior officers. During his inspection of police stations, the IGP Islamabad reviewed key departments such as the front desk, moharrar room, and other critical sections.


He issued special instructions to officers who interact directly with the public, emphasizing the importance of adopting exemplary behavior and addressing citizens’ issues on a priority basis.
He also monitored the implementation of previously issued directives aimed at improving public services and conducted a detailed review of officers’ performance. The IGP Islamabad emphasized that providing better facilities and ensuring prompt justice for citizens is the top priority.
He inspected the new technology-based software systems and other recent initiatives introduced in police stations and issued practical instructions to further enhance waiting areas and public-facing facilities, with the goal of transforming police stations into true centers of public service.
He also visited the offices of zonal SPs and directed them to take comprehensive measures for timely resolution of public complaints. He reiterated that, every police station must serve as a center for public service. Ensuring courteous behavior, facilitation, and timely justice for citizens is a fundamental duty of the police.
The effective use of technology not only enhances public convenience but also ensures transparency within the police system. He further added that Islamabad Police is committed to introducing modern reforms, improving public facilities, and integrating technology to transform the policing system into a highly effective and citizen-friendly service.
These visits were aimed not only at assessing public facilities at police stations but also at instructing police officers to adopt people-friendly behavior, ensure transparency, and effectively utilize modern technology in policing.
