ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held a meeting with DIG Islamabad Jawad Tariq, SSP Investigation Usman Tariq Butt and SP Saddar zone Abdul Qayyum at the Central Police Office.
During the meeting a thorough review was conducted of serious cases under investigation in the Investigation Wing, ongoing actions against criminal elements in the Saddar zone and measures taken to promote public-friendly policing.
On the occasion, IGP Islamabad issued clear instructions for an effective strategy and immediate outcomes. He emphasized that all officers should create a special plan to combat serious crimes, utilizing modern technology and available resources to ensure effective crackdowns on criminals.
He also stressed the need to arrest absconders and proclaimed offenders at the earliest and take strict action against those harboring them. Furthermore, IGP also directed the officers to make the Dolphin squad patrols more effective and ensure that officers remain available at all times to assist citizens.
He added that the presence of police officers should instill a sense of security among the citizens and fear among criminals. The protection of citizens lives and property as well as the maintenance of law and order in the federal capital remain the top priorities of Islamabad Police.
