IGP directs officers to prioritize public safety, crime prevention

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi presided over important meetins late at night to ensure the safety of citizens.
During the meeting IGP Islamabad asked DIG Islamabad Muhammad Javad Tariq, SSP Operations, Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad, SSP Investigation and SSP CTD to provide a progress report on the tasks assigned in yesterday meeting and briefed them on the upcoming strategy.


On this occasion he emphasized that every officer of Islamabad Police must consider the protection of citizens lives and property as their top priority and play an active role in fulfilling this duty.
He directed the officers to ensure effective and foolproof security arrangements for churches during Easter in the federal capital.
He also issued instructions to prevent crime, ensure public safety and improve the law and order situation in Islamabad.
All officers were directed to use modern technology and exchange information for immediate and effective actions to curb serious crimes. IGP Islamabad stated that the protection of citizens lives, property and dignity is the top priority of Islamabad Police.
All police officers must ensure effective patrolling and take measures to curb criminal elements.
Strict checks must be carried out at all entry and exit points of the city and suspicious individuals must be closely monitored, he added.
