ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, chaired an important Zoom meeting with senior officers of the Islamabad Police. The purpose of the meeting was to review the overall law and order situation in the city, formulate effective strategies to curb crime, ensure the timely redressal of public complaints, and further enhance the standard of professional training within the police force.
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of ongoing operations, effective patrolling measures, actions against criminal elements and improvements in police services for citizens. Senior police officers also gave the IGP Islamabad a comprehensive briefing on security challenges in various areas, the nature of crimes and ongoing efforts to address them.
IGP Islamabad directed all officers to prioritize maintaining public trust in every aspect of policing. He emphasized that officers must ensure equal enforcement of the law, act on merit, and give priority to professional training. He stated that Islamabad can only be transformed into a safe, peaceful, and crime-free city through the use of modern technology, a transparent system, and accountable policing.
IGP Islamabad also directed officers to treat citizens with courtesy, respond promptly to complaints and ensure the uniform application of the law. He further stressed that officers should effectively supervise their subordinates and consider the resolution of public complaints one of their top priorities.
All officers were directed to improve the performance of police stations, ensure the timely registration of FIRs, maintain transparency in investigations and make prompt complaint resolution an essential part of policing.
