IGP directs officers to uphold highest standards of performance

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held an important at his office, which was attended by DIG Headquarters/DG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joya, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Javed Tariq, and DIG Security/Law & Order Muhammad Ateeq Tahir.
During the meeting, the overall security situation of the federal capital and the steps taken for the protection of citizens were thoroughly reviewed.
In the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the functionality of the Safe City project, the effective use of technology, modern surveillance systems, measures for maintaining law and order, and strategies for enhancing the capacity of the police force.
Special attention was also given to the security of sensitive locations, installations, and VIPs. IGP Islamabad issued clear directives to senior police officers, stressing that there would be no compromise on the safety and security of Islamabad’s citizens.
He further stated that through the optimal use of modern technology and interdepartmental cooperation, criminal elements would be eradicated. He emphasized the importance of intelligence sharing and maintaining close coordination with other law enforcement agencies to ensure peace and order in the federal capital. He added that any negligence in security arrangements at any level would be intolerable.
IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi also held a meeting with AIG Logistics, Abdul Haque Umrani, where they reviewed the welfare of the police force, the efficient use of resources, and improvements in residential and administrative facilities.
He remarked that the welfare of police officers and personnel, as well as the provision of the best facilities, is our top priority. Only a strong and content force can serve the citizens effectively. He expressed his commitment to modernizing Islamabad Police and transforming it into an exemplary force.
