IGP directs SHOs to ensure their presence in police stations daily

ISLAMABAD: According to details, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has taken another important step to ensure the best and priority-based resolution of the issues faced by the citizens of the federal capital, a public relations officer said.
He said that, the IGP Islamabad has directed all SHOs of Islamabad Police to ensure their presence in their respective police stations from 04 to 06 pm daily.
In addition to this step, surveillance will be carried out through cameras connected to the Safe City Project to ensure the implementation of this measure.
IGP Islamabad said that the presence of police officers will also be monitored through biometric devices, and no negligence will be tolerated in public service delivery.
He further mentioned that the aim of this initiative is to eliminate distances between citizens and the police and to prioritize the resolution of citizens’ issues on a priority basis.
