ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held an important meeting with SHOs at the Central Police Office, Islamabad.
On this occasion, he issued directives to all SHOs, stating that they must remain available at all times for public facilitation. When complainants visit police stations, their conduct toward them should be exemplary.
All officers should personally patrol within their respective police station jurisdiction and ensure the security of markets and masjids, while further expediting operations against criminal elements.
IGP Islamabad emphasized that all officers must perform administrative affairs of police stations in a professional manner, and in emergency situations, police response should be prompt and effective.
All SHOs were directed to take strict legal action against land-grabbing mafias, drug peddlers, aerial firing, and the display of weapons, and to ensure the arrest of proclaimed offenders and court absconders.
He further stressed the adoption of an effective strategy for crime prevention and issued clear instructions that all officers must play a key role in the welfare of their subordinate staff and perform their duties with complete coordination.
The protection of citizens’ lives and property and the maintenance of peace and order in the federal capital are the top priorities of Islamabad Police, and any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated, IGP added.
