IGP evaluates crime control, police modernization initiatives

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, chaired an important meeting, which was attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DIG Security Muhammad Atiq Tahir, DIG Headquarters/Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joiya, DIG Law & Order/Training Malik Jameel Zafar, as well as AIGs, SSPs, and Zonal SPs.
IGP Islamabad reviewed measures for crime prevention, improvement of the investigation system, enhancement of patrolling and monitoring systems, upgradation of police resources, and the protection of sensitive locations and important personalities. He directed all officers to introduce new initiatives for public-friendly policing, community engagement, quick response mechanisms, and continuous communication with citizens.
On this occasion, he said that the Islamabad Police is fully committed to the mission of protecting citizens’ lives and property and serving the public. He directed officers to ensure the upgradation of the monitoring system under the Safe City Project, effective deployment of personnel at high-alert security points, and concrete steps for the prompt redressal of public complaints.
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi also reviewed measures related to the organization of special training courses for police officers.
He directed senior police officers to take steps to enhance the professional skills of officers and officials, improve the quality of elite special training, and promote training programs aligned with the requirements of modern policing.
