IGP for beefing up security

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has issued important instructions to police officers to ensure foolproof security arrangements in the federal capital. According to the details, IGP Islamabad stated that patrolling and surprise checking across the district should be made more effective and prompt and timely responses must be ensured for all calls received on the emergency helpline “Pukar-15.”
Officers should improve mutual communication and exchange of information. Furthermore they must constantly check the duty officers and brief them regarding their duties. With the increasing crowding in commercial areas market duties should be made more effective, he added.
He further emphasized that the monitoring of the city should be enhanced through Safe City cameras and strict security should be maintained at places of worship, commercial centers and other important locations. Modern technology should be used to increase the efficiency of Safe City cameras and the surveillance and monitoring system across the city should be made more effective.
IGP Islamabad further directed the officers to serve the people with a spirit of helping others and ensure the protection of citizens lives and property while providing them with all possible assistance.
He emphasized that our duty is our worship and we must carry it out honestly, while stressing that the protection of citizens lives and property and providing them with every facility remains the top priority of Islamabad Police.
