ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held a high level meeting at the Central Police Office Islamabad. On this occasion, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DG Safe City Shakir Hussain Dawar, DIG Security/Headquarters Syed Ali Raza and other senior police officers were also present.
The meeting included an in depth discussion on enhancing the quality of investigations through modern technology, adopting a zero-tolerance policy against corruption and taking solid steps toward departmental digitalization.
On the occasion, IGP Islamabad stated that modern techniques and available resources must be utilized in line with the changing times to further improve individual performance.
He added that Information Technology (IT) has a prominent role in the present and future and its use is central to all operations. Therefore, it is essential to develop professional expertise in this field to ensure its effective utilization in the modern era.
IGP Islamabad instructed all officers to resolve ongoing cases on merit and to align the investigation process with modern technology using all resources. A zero-tolerance policy will be adopted against corruption and unprofessional conduct in official duties will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Additionally, IGP Islamabad assigned new tasks to the police officers during the meeting and issued instructions to ensure their immediate implementation.
