IGP for resolving masses’ grievances on priority, merit

ISLAMABAD:Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas said that Islamabad police will not left any stone unturned to secure the lives and property of the citizens.
He said this while holding khuli kacheri in Central police office to listen the public as well as police official’s issues.
The IGP sought explanation from SDPO sadar in a murder case for not arresting the accused. He also marked an application to SDPO koral for thorough enquiry and sought report. If the concerned is found guilty in the enquiry, suspend him and give charge sheet, the IGP ordered.
Islamabad police chief said that I will stand with my officers in their good works adding that those showing laxity towards their official duties would be dealt with iron hands.
He marked different applications to the concerned officers and directed to resolve on a given time frame and send report to his office.
He also strictly directed all zonal officers to listen to public complaints and resolve them purely on merit. “No laxity will be tolerated in this regard” he added.
Islamabad police chief emphasized that Islamabad police is committed to resolve the public grievances on priority and on merit. “We are public servants and to secure the life and property of the citizens is our foremost priority” the IGP maintained.
He further stated that a massive campaign against drug menace and land grabbers is on full swing.
The IGP directed all the police officials to adopt courteous attitude with the complainants visiting police stations and accomplish their responsibilities in a professional manner.
