IGP holds command conference at Safe City

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi presided over a high-level meeting at Safe City Islamabad. The meeting was attended by all divisional DIGs, AIGs, SSPs, and SPs.
The meeting included detailed briefings on security measures, crime prevention, and traffic management by divisional DIGs. Additionally, new targets for 2025 were set.
IGP Islamabad conducted a thorough review of the performance of all organized units within Islamabad Police to ensure crime prevention in the federal capital. Effective surveillance through Safe City cameras was emphasized, and better strategies were recommended.


IGP Islamabad directed officers to optimally utilize existing resources and improve performance in tackling crime and ensuring effective security in the city.
He stressed the need for collaboration to maintain peace and protect citizens, with the performance of all divisions being the responsibility of the respective DIGs. Zonal officers were also instructed to submit performance reports, and the audit of Islamabad Police personnel was to be ensured.
Furthermore, IGP Islamabad directed improvements in the traffic management system to ensure smooth traffic flow on capital roads. He emphasized the importance of training personnel in line with modern demands and conducting various training courses to enhance their capacity.
He urged officers to perform their duties professionally, ensuring public service delivery, citizen safety, security of key installations, crime prevention, and improvement of the traffic system while enforcing traffic laws.
He further emphasized that all officers should complete their assigned tasks to the best of their ability, as the entire team works towards making the federal capital a haven of peace.
