IGP honours police team for exceptional crime-fighting efforts

ISLAMABAD: A dignified ceremony was held at Central Police Islamabad to distribute certificates of appreciation and cash awards among the team that professionally solved 15 high-profile criminal cases, including the Sardar Faheem, Sana Yousuf, and Ishtiaq Shah murder cases.
The ceremony was attended by IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi as the chief guest. During the ceremony, he met with DIG Islamabad Muhammad Javad Tariq, SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, and other officers.
IGP Islamabad praised the team’s exceptional performance in solving these serious cases in a professional manner and awarded them certificates and cash prizes. He emphasized that all officers should perform their duties with the same spirit to ensure the prevention of crime and the safety of citizens’ lives and property.
He mentioned that this was the foremost duty and a demand of the oath they took when they donned the uniform.
He further instructed all officers to perform their duties with diligence, responsibility, and honesty, considering it a form of worship.
All officers and personnel regarded the certificates and awards as an honor and pledged to continue carrying out their responsibilities with the same dedication and spirit in the future.
