ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has formally inaugurated the SSP Security/ Operations block. On this occasion, SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, SP Security/ Operations Suleman Zafar, and other police officers were also present.
IGP Islamabad stated that the establishment of the new Security Wing will make security arrangements for sensitive installations, key locations, and special events more effective.
It will ensure better monitoring of security affairs, a coordinated strategy, and immediate response, leading to marked improvement in harmony, professionalism, and performance in security operations. He further stated that the top priority of Islamabad Police is the protection of the lives and property of citizens.
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi also met with SSP Prisons Islamabad Ali Akbar and SSP SWAT Force Kaleemullah Khattak. He received a briefing from the SSP Prisons regarding the construction work of Islamabad Model Jail and issued instructions to ensure its early completion.
Furthermore, the IGP Islamabad issued directives to enhance the effectiveness of the SWAT Force and to further strengthen security in Islamabad. Moreover, IGP Islamabad personally reviewed security arrangements at various masjids and imambargahs during Taraweeh prayers.
He met individually with police officers deployed on duty, encouraged them, and instructed them to perform their responsibilities with greater vigilance and a strong sense of duty.
