ISLAMABD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi conducted a visit to different areas of the city. During this visit, he checked the security arrangements at Masjids and Imambargahs during iftar, sehri and prayer times.
He also met with police officers on duty and appreciated their efforts. IGP Islamabad encouraged the officers on alert duty to ensure the safety of citizens.
On this occasion, he said that security duties at masjids and Imambargahs during the holy month of Ramadan are of great importance, and no senior police officer should be at home during these times. All DIGs, SSPs, and SPs must be visible in the field.
He issued instructions to senior police officers to ensure that all officers on security duty receive their sehri and iftar at the designated duty points on time. Despite the harsh weather these officers stand alert for the protection of public life and property.
Being away from their families these officers true worship is the protection of the city and its residents. He urged all officers to consider their duties as an act of worship. Any negligence in security duties at masjids and imambargahs will not be tolerated, he added.
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi also had Iftar with police officers at Zero Point checkpoint. On this occasion, he stated that his officers who remain alert day and night away from their families are dedicated to protecting the public.
He expressed that every officer is like family to him and it is his responsibility to take care of them. He further mentioned that senior officers across the district are having Iftar with the officers on duty.
Additionally, daily iftar arrangements are made for over 300 officers at the Police Lines Headquarters Islamabad and iftar is also provided to traffic officilas and officers stationed at checkpoints.
