ISLAMABAD: A graceful ceremony was held at the Central Police Office in Islamabad in connection with the welfare of the families of police personnel who died while in service. The Capital Police Officer Headquarters and AIG General were also present on the occasion.
Following the vision of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and on the special interest and directions of the Federal Minister of Interior, Rana Sana Ullah Khan, the IGP Islamabad, Dr Akbar Nasir Khan distributed welfare cheques worth Rs 51.7 million among the families of police officials who died while in service.
During the occasion, IGP Islamabad said that all possible facilities are being provided to the families of Islamabad Capital Police officials. Taking such steps is aimed at raising the morale of the officials and providing better facilities for them.
He further stated that every police official is a valuable asset to the department and providing them medical and other facilities are among top priorities.
