ISLAMABAD: A significant progress has been made regarding the Islamabad Model Jail in light of the special directives issued by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. In this regard, Ali Akbar has been appointed as the first Senior Superintendent of Prisons of the “Federal Prison of Pakistan.”
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held a special meeting with Senior Superintendent Federal Prisons Ali Akbar. Both the IG Prisons and IG Islamabad issued directions to make the Model Jail operational as soon as possible.
They emphasized that duties must be performed while keeping in mind the saying: “A saint has a past, and a sinner has a future.”
Once the federal jail becomes operational, all detainees and prisoners related to Islamabad’s cases will be housed in the Islamabad Model Jail. After this important development, there will no longer be a need to transfer Islamabad-related accused persons to other districts.
