ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police Islamabad (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi offered Eid-Ul-Fitr prayer along with officers at the Police Lines Headquarters Islamabad. After the prayers, special supplications were made for the security of the country, Muslim ummah and for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs.
The IG Islamabad exchanged Eid greetings with the police officers, visited the martyrs’ memorial, laid floral wreaths and prayed for the martyrs.
He emphasized that living nations never forget the sacrifices of their martyrs. The brave heroes who sacrificed their lives for the peace of the country are the pride of Islamabad Police.
On this joyous occasion of Eid, a grand meal was arranged at the Police Lines Headquarters for the families of the martyrs and police officers. The IGP Islamabad mingled with the officers and had a meal with them.
He also visited various checkpoints and divisions, met the officers on duty and distributed Eid gifts among those stationed at the checkpoints.
On this occasion, IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi stated that we all celebrated Eid away from our loved ones to protect the lives and property of our citizens so that they could celebrate in peace. Every officer of mine is standing alert for the security of the citizens. I wholeheartedly appreciate my entire force.
He further added that the peaceful celebration of Eid in the city is a testament to the excellent strategy of Islamabad Police.
We are ready to sacrifice thousands of such Eids to make our city and country a haven of peace.
