ISLAMABAD: the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, presided over a meeting with officers from the investigation wing, as stated by a public relations officer.
The meeting was attended by the AIG Operations, AIG Investigations/Complaints, AIG Legal, SSP Investigations, SSP Operations, and other police officers. During the meeting, senior police officers briefed the IGP Islamabad on the ongoing crackdown against criminal elements.
IGP reviewed the investigation system, as well as the cases under investigation, and issued directives to complete the investigations efficiently and ensure the arrest of the accused individuals.
He emphasized that, in line with the changing times, the investigation process should be equipped with modern technical tools. He also instructed the officers to handle ongoing cases with merit and transparency.
IGP further stated that the purpose of revamping the investigation wing is to make the system more effective and efficient.
Criminal cases should be investigated thoroughly and completed on merit so that the noose around criminal elements can be tightened a crimes eradicated from society, he added.
