ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi remained engaged with official matters until late Sunday night.
During this time, he held an important meeting with DIG Islamabad Muhammad Javed Tariq, SSP Operations, and other senior officers to review the law and order situation, ongoing operations, and police performance in detail.
The officers provided the IGP Islamabad with a detailed briefing on the security measures taken regarding law and order. The Islamabad Police will not allow any elements to disrupt the peace of the city and will take all necessary measures to protect the lives, property, and both private and public assets of the citizens.
The IGP Islamabad issued directives to all officers to make patrols more effective within their respective areas, ensure all officers remain in the field, brief the staff, and visit various areas of the city.
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir further stated that to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property and to maintain peace, all possible steps will be taken.
The protection of citizens’ lives and property is our top priority. He also appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the Islamabad Police and report any suspicious activity to relevant police stations or through the emergency helpline Pucar-15.
He further said that, the Islamabad Police will leave no stone unturned in making the federal capital a haven of peace.
