IGP orders evidence-based probe, improved public service

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held important meetings at the Central Police office. The meetings were attended by DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar, AIG Logistics Abdul Haque Umrani, AIG Operations, AIG Investigation, and AIG Legal.
During the meetings, the IGP Islamabad reviewed investigation matters, improvement of investigative processes, timely completion of cases, and the system of court follow-up. On this occasion, the IGP Islamabad directed all officers to ensure that all cases including high-profile ones are investigated using modern, scientific, and evidence-based methods so that the requirements of justice can be fulfilled in the best manner.
He further emphasized that evidence collection, forensic support, digital data analysis, and Safe City monitoring should be made an essential part of investigations. He also instructed that effective prosecution of cases pending in courts must be ensured so that criminals can be punished according to the law.
IGP Islamabad made it clear that poor investigation, delay, or negligence will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and all stages of investigation will be monitored according to strict standards.
He also reviewed in detail the ongoing initiatives for the welfare of police officers, the security of citizens, and their public facilitation. Moreover, the IGP Islamabad directed special focus on enhancing the capacity of the police force, effective utilization of available resources, and improved management of logistic support.
He stated that the timely provision of required facilities to police officers must be ensured so they can perform their professional duties efficiently.
IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi reiterated his commitment that public service standards will be further improved through modern technology and reforms, while citizens will be provided maximum facilitation at every forum.
In conclusion, he stated that the maintenance of peace and tranquility in the federal capital, prevention of crime, and provision of facilities to citizens remain top priorities of the Islamabad Police.
