-Acknowledges services of outgoing officer

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar on Wednesday pinned badges to a police officer promoted to Grade-19 and gave a shield to an outgoing officer over his brilliant services for 40 years.
According to details, a simple ceremony was held here at Central Police Officer to pin badges to AIG (Operations) Dr. Sardar Ghayas Gul who got promotion from BPS-18 to BSP-19 and pay farewell to the outgoing SP Safeer Hussain Bhatti.
The ceremony was attended by senior police officials and IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar along with DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed pinned badges to the promoted police officer.
They said that AIG (Operations) Dr. Sardar Ghayas Gul is a hardworking and dedicated police officer and hoped for his good performance in future.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan also gave a souvenir too outgoing SP Safeer Hussain Bhatti and said that the officer had served in Islamabad police with dedication and commitment. He said that his services to make Islamabad police as an ideal force would be remembered forever. SP Safeer Hussain Bhatti served on various posts in Islamabad police for 40 years including Station House Officer of various police stations, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Superintendent of Police.
Along with other officers, the IGP Islamabad gave gifts and souvenir to the outgoing officer. He said that Safeer Hussain Bhatti served for 40 years in Islamabad Police and achieved great professional success. Islamabad police chief said that his services would be remembered forever as he played a vital role in improving image of the force.
