IGP praises officers for new year security arrangements

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, lauded all officers and officials deployed on duty for ensuring effective security and traffic arrangements on New Year’s night and paid them rich tribute.
On this occasion, he said that 3,500 Islamabad Police officers were deployed, while 350 officers were assigned to traffic management. Female police officers also performed their duties in security and traffic management. All senior officers ensured security in their respective areas.
He further stated that despite the harsh weather, the officers and personnel performed their professional duties in an excellent manner. The flow of traffic in the city was maintained, and no traffic congestion occurred at any location. Quick Response Force units remained on high alert at all times to deal with any untoward incident.
IGP Islamabad also extended New Year 2026 greetings to all citizens. He said that all this was made possible due to the full cooperation of the public, for which they are grateful.
He added that even better measures will be taken in the new year to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
