ISLAMABAD: An important meeting was held at Safe City Islamabad under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
The meeting was attended by DG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joya, SSP Security Captain (retd) Syed Zeeshan Haider, Chief Traffic Officer Hamzah Humayun, AIG Special Branch Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, and other senior officers.
During the meeting, the IGP Islamabad conducted a detailed review of measures to enhance public convenience, resolve long standing traffic issues, and ensure effective utilization of modern technology across the city.
On this occasion, he instructed all officers to modernize the traffic management system, further activate AI-based camera systems, and improve traffic monitoring, immediate recording of violations, and real-time alert mechanisms, so that citizens may be provided with a safer, more organized, and easier travel environment.
Later, IGP Islamabad also held an online meeting with senior police officers along with DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar, during which the strengthening of the police administrative structure, capacity-building of the force, upgrading professional training standards in line with modern requirements, and enhancing overall performance were reviewed.
On this occasion, the IGP Islamabad stated that a strong and integrated combination of modern technology and effective policing is essential to make Islamabad a safe, modern, and law-abiding city.
He directed all officers to further accelerate actions against crimes and narcotics, advance the campaign to rid the city of illegal weapons in an effective manner, and ensure that investigation standards are transparent, modern, and result-oriented.
Emphasizing the need to further activate and strengthen patrolling and checking systems, he said that providing citizens with a safe environment and prompt justice is the top priority of Islamabad Police.
Furthermore, the IGP Islamabad, along with DIG Headquarters and other senior officers, reviewed the administrative affairs of the police force, internal performance, discipline, and effective use of resources.
He stated that only a strong, well-trained, and disciplined force can effectively face modern challenges. He instructed all officers to accelerate efforts for capacity building of the force, launch modern training programs, and ensure coordinated functioning across all departments.
