ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas saidthat Islamabad police is committed to resolve public grievances on merit andpriority and to save the life and property of the citizens.
He said this while listening to the public issues during a khuli kacheri heldat Central Police Office (CPO) Islamabad by the IGP in which people submittheir issues. On Wednesday, the IGPlistened to the grievances of the public as well as police officials and markedtheir applications to their relevant officers and directed them to resolve themon priority bases and on a given time frame. The IGP marked two applicationssubmitted by the citizens to Internal Accountability Unit (IAU) and markedenquiry on one complaint against an investigation officer.
The IGP strictly directed all zonal officers to listen to public complaints andresolve them purely on merit. “No laxity will be tolerated in this regard” headded. During the khuli kacheri, Islamabad Police chief listened to the grievances ofthe citizens and marked their applications to the concerned officers for timelyaction on merit. He also directed them to send reports to his office in thegiven time frame. Muhammad Ahsan Younas emphasized that Islamabad police would not leave anystone unturned to save the lives and property of the citizens adding thatIslamabad police is taking many steps to facilitate public.
The IGP directed all the police officials to adopt courteous attitude with thecomplainants visiting police stations and accomplish their responsibilities ina professional manner.
