IGP reviews Capital’s security

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a meeting. The meeting was attended by Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, AIG Operations Muhammad Shoaib Masood, and SSP CTD Muhammad Arsalan Shahzaib.
During the meeting, the IG Islamabad conducted a detailed review of the security arrangements throughout the district, search and combing operations, ongoing counter-terrorism actions, and measures taken to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property. On this occasion, he also reviewed the implementation reports of various tasks assigned to officers and issued necessary directions to further improve their performance.
Later, the IG Islamabad held a Khuli Katcheri at the Central Police Office (CPO) under the Open Door Policy. Citizens and police officers attended the session and presented their problems and complaints. The IG Islamabad listened carefully to the citizens’ complaints and officers’ issues and issued clear instructions to the relevant officers on the spot for their immediate resolution.
On this occasion, he said that resolving citizens’ problems promptly on the basis of merit and transparency is the top priority of the Islamabad Police. He further added that if any citizen faces an issue related to the police, they can come without hesitation to the open court and present their problem.
Later, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited various mosques and Imam bargahs in the city during Taraweeh prayers and personally reviewed the security arrangements there. On this occasion, he met individually with the police officers and personnel deployed on duty and appreciated their performance.
IGP Islamabad encouraged the officers and personnel and directed them to perform their duties with greater vigilance, professional competence, and a strong sense of responsibility so that a safe environment can be provided to citizens and any unpleasant incident can be handled effectively.
