IGP reviews crime control, anti-drug operations, projects

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, chaired important meetings.
The meetings were attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, AIG Special Branch Muhammad Sarfaraz Work, AIG Operations/Establishment Shoaib Masood, AIG Investigation/Development Syed Inayat Ali Shah, SSP CTD Arslan Shahzaib, along with other senior police officers.
During the meetings, the IGP Islamabad conducted a detailed review of measures for the effective prevention of crime in the federal capital, strict and indiscriminate action against drug trafficking groups, intelligence-based operations, the arrest of wanted and proclaimed offenders, and further strengthening coordination among law enforcement agencies.
While issuing directives to senior police officers, the IGP Islamabad stated that drugs are a serious menace and that uninterrupted and effective measures must be taken for their complete eradication.
He also directed that ongoing operations against criminal elements be further accelerated and made more transparent. He emphasized that the protection of the lives and property of citizens must be ensured at all costs.
Furthermore, the IGP Islamabad also reviewed ongoing development projects of the Islamabad Police, the welfare of police officers and personnel, and overall administrative matters.
He directed all officers to ensure that development projects are completed in accordance with prescribed standards and within defined timelines, welfare initiatives are made more effective, and administrative improvements are introduced to further enhance the overall performance of the police.
