IGP reviews Eid security across city

ISLAMABAD: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizwi, visited security checkpoints and public parks during Eid.
He inspected security arrangements at public parks and met with officers stationed at checkpoints, commending DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza and the police force for their effective security arrangements.
He mentioned that due to Islamabad Police’s robust efforts, the city remained incident-free. Police vigilance curbed incidents such as one-wheeling and reckless motorcycle stunts.
He expressed heartfelt appreciation for the officers’ diligent Eid duty, emphasizing their dedication even in extreme heat while wearing bulletproof jackets.
Throughout Islamabad, strict security checks at city entrances and exits were consistently enforced by Islamabad Police.
DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza personally oversaw all security operations. Special police units were deployed around public parks, and Safe City cameras ensured effective monitoring.
During Eid, major public parks in Islamabad were designated as family parks. Police patrolling units remained on high alert, supported by traffic police squads to manage traffic flow. Strict legal actions were taken against individuals involved in one-wheeling and dangerous motorcycle stunts.
