IGP reviews Headquarters Division’s performance

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Captain (R) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, held an important meeting with officers of the Headquarters Division at Police Lines Headquarters to review administrative affairs, logistical support, facilities and welfare measures for police officials.
The meeting was attended by DIG Law and Order/Training Muhammad Atiq Tahir, DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq, and SP Headquarters Pari Gul Tareen.
During the meeting, the IGP Islamabad directed all officers to perform their responsibilities with full dedication, commitment and professionalism. He announced that officers and officials demonstrating outstanding performance would be rewarded, while accountability would be ensured in cases of negligence, inefficiency and poor performance. He emphasized that merit, transparency, discipline and professional responsibility must remain the guiding principles in all matters.
IGP Islamabad highlighted the vital role of the Headquarters Division in providing logistical and administrative support to the police force. He directed officers to further improve the management of the police store (Kot), mess hall, inventory and the timely distribution of uniforms. He also stressed the effective use of available resources and timely fulfillment of the force’s operational and administrative needs.
Emphasizing the welfare of police officers and officials, Captain (R) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry said that providing quality facilities to those who work tirelessly to protect the lives and property of citizens is an important responsibility. He assured that all possible measures would be taken to address their welfare and professional needs.
He further directed the concerned officers to ensure high-quality mess services at Police Lines and make proper accommodation arrangements for police officers visiting Islamabad from other districts. He stressed the importance of maintaining high standards in these facilities and providing police officials with a comfortable and supportive environment.
IGP Islamabad reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the Islamabad Police through efficient administration, reliable logistical support and improved welfare facilities. He directed all officers to maintain high standards of professionalism, responsibility and performance in carrying out their duties.
