IGP reviews ongoing crime incidents in Capital

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, is actively working to prevent crime and maintain law and order in the federal capital. In this regard, a high-level meeting was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The meeting was attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Javad Tariq, SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, AIG Operations, and other senior officers.
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of the overall law and order situation in the federal capital, including security arrangements and measures to prevent criminal activities.
IGP issued directives to utilize all available resources to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property, continue intelligence-based operations, and intensify the crackdown on criminal elements. He emphasized that all officers should leverage modern technology and intelligence sharing to ensure immediate and effective actions against drug trafficking and other serious crimes. Cases under investigation should be resolved on merit, and challans supported by solid evidence should be submitted to the competent courts to ensure that criminals receive appropriate punishments.
The arrest of remaining members of criminal gangs must also be ensured.
