IGP reviews Red Zone security, orders tightened measures

Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, visited the Red Zone. During the visit, he assessed the security arrangements and inspected checkpoints at entry and exit points.
He also examined the security measures of government and private institutions located within the Red Zone and directed the concerned officers to make security more stringent and effective, ensuring that all possible safety requirements are fully met.
He further instructed that effective surveillance be ensured through Safe City cameras so that law and order in this sensitive area can be maintained at all costs, and any suspicious activity can be dealt with immediately.
Later, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an open court at the Central Police Office Islamabad under the “Open Door Policy.” He listened to the problems of citizens and police officers and issued on the spot directives for their resolution.
The IGP Islamabad emphasized that resolving citizens issues on merit and without delay is the top priority. He stated that any citizen facing issues related to the police can attend the open court, adding, my doors are always open for the citizens.
He also directed relevant officers to resolve complaints within the specified timeframe on merit and submit reports to the Central Police Office.
He also further stated that Islamabad Police is taking various steps to facilitate citizens, and that holding open courts on a daily basis is helping resolve issues on a priority basis.
