IGP reviews security situation, citizen facilitation measures

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, chaired important meetings at the Central Police Office Islamabad. The meetings were attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar, along with AIGs, SSPs, and SPs.
During these meetings, a detailed review of crime control, the security situation, and the facilities being provided to citizens was conducted. The IG Islamabad directed all officers to make public service delivery more effective, transparent, and citizen-friendly. He emphasized improving service standards at police stations, ensuring the prompt resolution of citizens’ complaints, and upholding merit and the rule of law at all costs.
Furthermore, emphasis was placed on strengthening coordination, ensuring the effective and prudent use of available resources, and improving overall performance so that timely and quality police services can be provided to the public.
IGP Islamabad issued clear directions to promote the use of modern technology, improve the analysis of crime data, and further activate the patrolling system to enhance crime prevention.
He also directed officers to accelerate and improve ongoing measures for citizen facilitation, especially front desk services, helplines, and community policing initiatives. At the same time, he instructed that police welfare measures be advanced on a priority basis to further enhance the professional performance of officers and personnel.
Later, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi met with DIG Law & Order/Training Muhammad Ateeq Tahir and newly appointed DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq.
On this occasion, he assigned new goals and tasks to the DIGs regarding the modern training of police officers and personnel, organizing professional courses, improving security arrangements, and enhancing administrative affairs.
At the end of the meeting, a commitment was reiterated that Islamabad Police will utilize all its capabilities to eliminate crime, protect the lives and property of citizens, and provide excellent public services, ensuring the establishment of a safe, peaceful, and law-abiding society.
