ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry visited the families of martyred and Ghazi police officials as well as Police Lines, where he met the families of martyrs, visited injured Ghazi officials and reviewed various arrangements aimed at ensuring the welfare and well-being of police officials.
IGP Islamabad met the families of Shaheed ASI Mohsin Zafar, Constable Saif Ali Shah, who passed away during service, and Ghazi Constable Muhammad Hanif, who sustained injuries while performing his duty. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs, inquired about the well-being of their families and listened to their concerns and requirements.
Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry spent time with the children of the martyrs, interacted with them and distributed gifts among them. He also visited Ghazi Constable Muhammad Hanif, inquired about his health and appreciated his services to the police force. IGP Islamabad said that martyrs are the heroes of the police force and their sacrifices will always be remembered. He stated that ensuring the dignity, welfare and well-being of martyrs’ families, as well as the timely resolution of their issues, is the responsibility of Islamabad Police. He added that Ghazi officials are valuable assets of the police force and their services will never be forgotten.
He reaffirmed that Islamabad Police will always remember its martyrs and Ghazi officials and will stand by their families. IGP Islamabad directed the concerned officers to provide all possible assistance to the families of martyrs and Ghazi officials and take effective measures for the timely resolution of their issues.
Later, IGP Islamabad visited Police Lines, where he inspected various branches, residential barracks, the mess and other facilities. He met police officials residing in the barracks, listened to their concerns and issued necessary directions for their resolution.
Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry said that the welfare and well-being of the police force is among the top priorities of Islamabad Police, and every effort will be made to provide officials with better residential and basic facilities. He directed the concerned officers to further improve accommodation facilities and ensure that all matters concerning police officials are addressed on a priority basis.
IGP Islamabad also reviewed the quality of food being provided at the Police Lines mess and directed that police officials be provided with hygienic, nutritious and quality meals. He said that police officials perform their duties day and night to protect citizens, making it essential to ensure their welfare and meet their basic needs.
During the visit, IGP Islamabad also met Ghazi police officials present at Police Lines, inquired about their health and well-being, and appreciated their services. He also distributed gifts among the Ghazi officials.
Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry reaffirmed his commitment to continuing practical measures for the welfare of martyrs, Ghazi officials and all members of the Islamabad Police, while ensuring the timely resolution of issues faced by the police force.
