—— Pays tribute to martyres

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited the Yadgar-e-Shuhada Chowk Melody. During the visit, senior officers of Islamabad Police, members of the Chamber of Commerce and members of civil society were also present.
IGP Islamabad along with other officers, paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their precious lives for the protection of the public. He lit candles in their memory, scattered flowers and a collective prayer was offered for the elevation of their ranks.
On this occasion, IGP Islamabad said that 67 officers of Islamabad Police laid down their lives in the line of duty.
Islamabad Police has never forgotten the sacrifices of its martyrs. A living nation never forgets the sacrifices of it’s martyrs.
The brave sons who laid down their lives for the peace of the country are a proud asset of Islamabad Police. It is because of these martyrs’ sacrifices that we sleep peacefully.
He further stated that the Islamabad Police is constantly engaged in the welfare of the families of it’s martyrs and the well-being of their children.
Serving, supporting, and ensuring the welfare of the families of martyrs is among the top priorities of the Islamabad Police.
