LAHORE: Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq has been declared fit to bat by the team doctor in England.
PCB Whites’ Imam was hit on his left-hand while batting against PCB Greens’ Naseem Shah on the first day of their intra-squad practice match in Derby on Friday, said a Pakistan Cricket Board spokesman here on Saturday.
“The left-handed batsman took part in a warm-up session prior to the start of second day’s play,” added the spokesman.
Azhar Ali-led Pakistan face England in a three-Test series starting at Old Trafford, Manchester on Aug 5. The Test series is followed by a three-game T20 series between the two countries.
