Inappropriate behavior with citizens not be tolerated: IGP

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, presided over important meetings at Central Police Office Islamabad. The meetings were attended by DIG Islamabad, SSP Operations, Zonal SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs from across the district.
During the meeting, IGP Islamabad closely reviewed the performance of all the SHOs of the police stations and questioned all officers individually. Those with weak performance were reprimanded, while those with good performance were appreciated.
He issued clear directions that only those officers who demonstrate excellent performance will remain in their positions. He further said that any negligence in the protection of citizens’ lives and property will not be tolerated.
The issues of applicants visiting police stations and offices should be heard on a priority basis. Additionally, any request that qualifies to be registered as a case and fulfills all legal requirements should be immediately registered, he added.
He issued strict instructions, emphasizing that inappropriate behavior with citizens and applicants will not be tolerated. “You are all professional officers, and you must perform your duties with dedication and integrity in a professional manner,” said IGP Islamabad.
He also directed that ongoing developmental projects in Islamabad Police be expedited and completed according to international standards.
