Indus Dolphin Ambulance to unveil today

ISLAMABAD: The unveiling ceremony of the Indus Dolphin Ambulance would jointly be hosted by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and China Mobile Pakistan (Zong), at WWF-Pakistan’s Islamabad office (Ground Floor, Pakistan Academy of Science Building, 3 Constitution Avenue, Sector G-5/2, Islamabad).
The ceremony will be hopefully attended by distinguished guests including Mr. Musadik Malik, Minister of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination of Pakistan; Mr. Yang Guangyuan, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of China in Pakistan; Mr. Huo Junli, Chairman and CEO of Zong (CMPak), together with Mr. Kamran Ali, CRO of Zong; as well as Mr. Hammad Naqi Khan, CEO of WWF-Pakistan. The program comprised guest remarks, the ribbon-cutting of the vehicle, and a group photo.
The ambulance unveiled at the ceremony was made possible by a donation from Zong to WWF last year, spearheaded by the Embassy of China in Pakistan.
The vehicle will support WWF and the Sindh Wildlife Department in monitoring and rescuing the endangered Indus river dolphin across more than 200 kilometers of high-risk areas along the Indus River. –PR
