ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has reiterated the government’s commitment to ensure speedy justice for the people. Talking to media outside the Parliament House in Islamabad on Sunday, he ruled out any person specific legislation.
To a question, he said whatever the legislation is done, it will be in the interest of entire nation.
Highlighting the need for measures to ensure speedy justice, the minister noted that resolving cases often takes decades in Pakistan.
“Maulana Fazlur Rehman is our old ally. We’ll give good news soon,” Tarar said, while talking about the number game required to pass the constitutional amendment bill. –Agencies
