CHONGQING: The 2020 SCE (Smart China Expo) Intelligent Application and Quality Life Summit with Information Connects Long Distance, Intelligence Connects the World as the theme took place in Chongqing Xiantao International Big Data Valley on September 16. Sponsored by the Organizing Committee of SCE, the summit was undertaken by Chongqing Big Data Application and Development Administration, Chongqing Yubei People’s Government, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and the State Information Center.
Nearly 200 representatives, scholars, and experts from the leading enterprises, relevant government departments, and research institutions in the fields of smart city and intelligent application were invited to attend the summit. The simultaneous live broadcast was also conducted online and the maximum number of viewers reached 370,000.
Feng Wei, Director of the Information Technology Development Department, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, delivered a speech, indicating that digitalization, networking, and intelligence are the focuses of the new-generation information technology and the practical requirements to create the high-quality life as the prominent characteristics of a new round of scientific and technological revolution, which deserve the high attention and active practice of the whole society. The building of a new-type smart city holds the huge potential and space for innovating supply and expanding demand.
Zhang Xueying, Deputy Director of the State Information Center, said “The State Information Center will continue to reinforce and deepen the cooperation with Chongqing, focusing on the planning and construction of Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle Big Data Center, the market development of regional data factors, macroeconomic big data decision-making analysis, and other aspects”.
At the summit, experts from the renowned enterprises, including Huawei, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent cloud, Glodon, E-Hualu, and Kingsoft Cloud, made keynote speeches on people’s livelihood service, urban governance, government management, industrial integration, and ecological livable environment, exploring the inclusive value and future direction in the life driven by intelligent application, discussing hot topics such as technology frontier, application environment, development trend and market demand of 5G and AI, enhancing intelligent application to become the good foundation and powerful motivation for creating the high-quality life and speeding up the construction of a “people-oriented” new-type smart city.
Three intelligent innovative application scenarios were demonstrated at the summit. Experts from governments, enterprises, and scientific research institutions were invited to make comments and jointly discuss the development of intelligent application and innovation.
